J.D. Bullington is a veteran government relations professional and highly respected lobbyist. He has over 20 years of experience.
Prior to starting his own firm, J.D. was the vice president and in-house lobbyist for nine years at the Association of Commerce and Industry of New Mexico. He then joined the Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck law firm as a senior policy advisor to provide lobbying and government relations services for the firm's New Mexico clients from September 1, 2005 through September 15, 2009.
He is also a freelance musician, writer and former newspaper columnist.
He is the former chairman of Leadership Santa Fe, a former board member of the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, and an executive committee member and board member of New Mexico First.
On the personal side, he enjoys the outdoors and is an avid hiker, tennis player and fly fisherman.
LUCY RIVER, Associate
Lucy has lobbied with JD for several years. Recently, she took over communications and marketing for the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, in addition to her role as Program Director of Leadership Santa Fe, which she has held since 2007. Lucy is a former police officer; has a degree in Criminal Justice, and a diploma in Speech & Drama from her home university in Ireland where she was born and raised; and is a published poet and author. She competes in jiu jitsu, and recently received her blue belt. Lucy has a young daughter and lives in Santa Fe.
